Our transport side of the business is looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team delivering to ALDI stores.

What you’ll be doing:

🛒 Delivering to ALDI stores across the UK
🚛 Driving Scania and Daf trucks
⏰ Working day shifts on a 4 on / 4 off pattern
🌙 Some nights out required (2 or 3 a week)

💷 Excellent rates of pay
📅 Permanent, full-time position

✔️ Category CE (Class 1) Licence
✔️ Driver CPC
✔️ Digital Tachograph Card

Not only can bald tyres land you with a hefty fine and points, but also reduce your stopping distance and increase the risk of blowouts! It takes 5 minutes to pop in and check your tyre tread depth, call in and see us and stay safe 🚗

Our roads policing team recently stopped a vehicle with a tyre in this state. It’s against the law – and dangerous – to drive with a bald tyre.

The legal minimum tread depth for car tyres in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, although for safety reasons it's best to replace tyres well before the tread gets as low as 1.6mm.

Remember, tyre tread is really important as it helps your vehicle with grip, braking distance and steering.

If you're stopped and your vehicle is found with illegal tyres, you could get a £2,500 fine and three penalty points per tyre.

⚠️ Check the condition of your tyres (including the spare) for the correct pressure, as well as for their tread depth.
