Introducing the latest addition to Drive with Drew… the Mini Countryman Electric! ⚡️

There’s nothing mini about her, and she’s already been out on a few lessons this week with some rave reviews from the pupils! 😍

Come winter, I’m sure everyone will be loving the heated steering wheel 😂🔥

There are a few minor changes to how she drives compared with the Kona, but so far she’s proving to be a superb drive and incredibly comfortable.

Now comes the important question…

What should I name her? 🤔😂

🚗💔 Goodbye Kona 😢👋🏼

Today I said goodbye to the Hyundai Kona after almost 2 years and 55,000 miles.

I’ve absolutely loved this car, and an amazing 43 of my pupils passed their driving test in it! 🎉

It’s been a great car and has played a huge part in helping so many people build their confidence, become safe drivers and eventually go out and drive their own cars.

There have been some great memories made in this car… and definitely some challenging moments too! 😂

For almost two years, the Kona has been a big part of Drive with Drew, and I’m sure many of my past and current pupils will have their own memories of learning to drive in it.

And its final job was to help Ellie pass her test yesterday… so I think it went out with a bang! 💪🏻🎉

Thanks for everything, Kona. ❤️

Now onto the next chapter… 🚗👀

🎉🚗 First Time Pass 🚗🎉

Congratulations to Ellie Muir, who passed her test today in Dundee! 🎉

The decision to start automatic lessons in January, after we decided the clutch is the devil, turned out to be the correct decision 😂

Starting lessons while you were still living in Edinburgh, with the goal of getting passed before you start uni in Dundee this September, was a challenge… but you absolutely nailed it! 💪🏻

A few weeks ago, you hated those Kingsway roundabouts, but today your examiner was super impressed with your drive — and your chat! 😂

It’s been an absolute pleasure supporting you on your journey to getting your licence, and I look forward to seeing you picking your Dad up from the pub every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 😉😂

Good luck car shopping, and keep an eye out for those elephants on the road! 🐘😉

It’s been a pleasure to see your confidence grow with every lesson, and I always knew you could do it, despite having to move house and prepare for your test at the same time. 💪🏻

Your daughter’s card definitely helped ☺️

After all the work we put into bay parking, you pulled up on the right… typical!! 😂 Oh well, I look forward to seeing you park your own car in Lidl Lochee one day 😉

Massive congratulations to Sinead Yule who got a test yesterday afternoon and passed first time today 💪🏻

Passed theory first time and practical test first time because you put the work in and nailed both.

You and Sean worked hard before we started and throughout your lessons to get plenty practice in and then we worked on ways to help you keep calm, focus on your surroundings and make the safe decision every time.

Mock tests and then work on any faults has worked well the last few weeks and I’m glad you got a test so we didn’t have to wait until December 😂

Well done today and I look forward to seeing you out and about taking the kids on adventures ☺️

🚗🎉 First Time Pass 🎉🚗

Massive congratulations to Marlie Denny, who passed her driving test this morning first time with only 1 driving tault!

We've only had 16 lessons together, so it's been a short journey. Thanks to all the extra driving with Mum and Dad in between lessons, you absolutely nailed it today.

The examiner gave some amazing feedback, and it was thoroughly deserved. You came to every lesson keen to learn from the previous week, work on your mistakes, and become a superb driver. I couldn't have been prouder today.

Now the fun begins! Enjoy making your own Spotify playlists, car shopping, and the freedom to drive to all those gigs. 🚗🎶

Sorry the pictures I took outside the test centre were so bad... glad your Dad was home to take a decent one.

🚗🎉 First Time Pass 🎉🚗

Massive congratulations to Tricia Thompson, who passed her driving test today first time 💪🏻

We started our journey in December last year, and every lesson has been an emotional rollercoaster for both of us 😂 — with the highs of nailing those roundabouts and the lows of turning right when reversing to the left 😉😂

I’ll miss our Friday morning blethers and your wedding-planning updates, but your neighbour will be glad I’m not there every Friday talking to his dog anymore 😂🐶

You’ve done an incredible job today, and I know how much work you’ve put into this, so spend the rest of the day celebrating in the sunshine ☀️

Thanks for the memories and your unique ways of learning tyres and tarmac 😉😂

We did it!! Sarah Louise Cooke passed her driving test today on her second attempt on a rainy Friday afternoon in Dundee 👏

We’ve worked hard on getting those roundabouts nailed, and today you were superb. Well done!

It’s been a pleasure to see your confidence grow throughout the last year. It’s never been about your knowledge; it’s been about believing in yourself and trusting that wee voice in your head (although it’s also been about slowing you down at times 😂).

The day was topped off with a perfect forward bay park in Lidl 💪🏻

Balgillo Roundabout will always remind me of you and the challenges you overcame to get your licence 😉

Well done again, and I can’t wait to see you driving around in Meredith with those P plates on 😂

🎉🚗 First Time Pass 🚗🎉

Massive congratulations to Charlotte Ross who passed her driving test in Arbroath today at the first attempt with only 3 driving faults 👏

We’ve only had 14 lessons together, but you approached every single one keen to learn, ask loads of questions, and master those parking manoeuvres 😂

A big shout-out and thank you also has to go to Mum for taking you out in your own car before we started lessons and in between them. Teamwork makes the dream work 💪🏻

I’ve loved our Saturday morning catch-ups and will definitely miss hearing about your weekly near-death experiences 😂, but I know you’ll be a brilliantly safe driver going forward.

Thank you for being such a great pupil. I’ll keep an eye out for your car and its awesome registration plate 🚽😂

🚗🎉 First Time Pass 🎉🚗

Congratulations to Kayleigh who passed her driving test first time today, on a busy Friday afternoon.

Despite those nervous this week and self doubt creeping in we worked through it and you nailed it today.

Great anticipation and planning but once we worked out that if we slow down you have better car control I knew you would be fine.

It’s been a pleasure teaching you over the last year and I’ll miss your pigeon chat and videos every Tuesday.

Hope the car of your dreams works out and I look forward to seeing you driving about those country roads at a safe speed!!
