SAS is back on the road again! I apologise to all of my previous customers for having to close down for a while. It became a challenge trying to do two jobs at once and something had to give. However, I am now fully self employed and SAS is now my one and only priority.

So tell a friend, tell all your friends. I'm here for your vehicle mechanical needs. I can also do hybrids and electric cars. No more main dealer prices and a quality service for reasonable prices.

A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they took it to a Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded the bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

7 days later the engineer mentioned that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $ 10,000 to the ship owner

"What ?!" said the owner.
"You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

The answer is simple:
Tap with a hammer: $ 2
Know where to knock & how much to knock: $ 9,998

Lessons to Learn

The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience ... Until
The words "it's easy" and "that's all", should be set aside. Why? Because maybe the experience is the result of struggles, experiments and even tears.

Like the picture above:
If i do a job in 30 minutes it's because i spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.

(If I can finish a job in 30 minutes, it's because I spent 10 years learning how to do it in 30 minutes. You paid me for those 10 years, not 30 minutes).

This sentence reminds me of someone’s advice on respecting and wisely respecting the work of others.

There I also learned to see people ...
When they do not respect others, at the same time he has humbled himself.

Expertise and experience, that's expensive.
Unfortunately, our people still look down on that.

Another a super Sunday job. This time on an Astra GTC. There was a loss of coolant and I was amazed to see the thermostat housing had melted/eroded away. You can clearly see the difference between the pictures. Another happy customer!

I had some fun today with this Range Rover Evoque. The customer had been quoted an extortionate amount for a new driveshaft and front brakes. I did the job for less than half! Another very happy and satisfied customer.

Spent the day having fun with this Transit. After already having a DPF regen, the warning light was still illuminated. The DPF pressure sensor was faulty as well as the feed pipe being blocked. Cleaned and cleared, new genuine sensor, static regen and followed by an oil and filter change. All sorted and driving really well again. Another happy customer πŸ‘ŠπŸ˜

Check this beauty out 😍 Some days I absolutely love my job. I really enjoyed the opportunity to bring this Riley RME convertible back to life today. (Been in storage) I'm glad I was taught well on the older systems when I was young. No OBD required here!

The fault from the customer was her boot wouldn't open. The first picture shows a repair carried out by another garage! (Not me) I sourced a second hand wiring loom and spent a while joining it all up neatly back inside the car. (Pic 2&3) There were 8 white wires to match up which threw some curve balls in, but I persevered and got everything functioning as it should once more.

I got called out tonight on an emergency job. The customer had only just fitted some uprated lower wishbone arms to his VXR. Upon a hard brake the wishbone failed on the welds, crumpled the arm and sent the wheel backwards into the arch. Very dangerous! Luckily we were able to source a lower arm and get him back on his journey safely. In the photos you can see the arm splitting open and how it has crumpled in comparison to the new one!

Firstly I would like to apologise to some of my customers for not being able to carry out work recently due to a bereavement. I am back up on my feet and busy as ever once again.

I will also be doing some special offers coming soon!

Pics are of a VW T5 that very nearly ended up costing the customer an awful lot of money. Caught this aux belt tensioner just in time! Shame VW decided to hide the release bolt on these πŸ™ˆ

Enjoyed working on this one today. Ignition barrel replacement as the old unit had jammed, including locking the steering in place. I do appreciate an old VW.
