Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG – Adaptive (active) anti-roll bar bleed procedure after rear bar replacement.

GLA exhaust flap actuator replacement
This GLA had been dropping into limp mode every now and then, felt generally off to drive, and had the engine management light on.
Culprit turned out to be a failed exhaust flap actuator.
Old unit out, new one fitted, and the car is now back to driving as it should — no more limp mode or warning light.
Nice straightforward job once you get underneath.

🚗 Mercedes R-Class / ML W166 Transfer Case Chain Replacement ✅
Customer came in complaining of a harsh clunking noise under heavy acceleration. Classic symptom on these models.
After dropping the transfer case we found exactly what we expected — a stretched transfer case chain. You can clearly see how loose and worn it had become compared to the new one.
At the main dealer the only option they offer is a complete new transfer case — which is eye-wateringly expensive.
Instead, we fitted a quality aftermarket chain kit and replaced just the chain. Same job, massive saving for the customer 👍
This is a common issue on these W166 chassis vehicles once they get some miles on them. If your Mercedes is clonking or juddering under load, don’t ignore it — catching it early saves a lot of money.

🚗 Mercedes 651 Engine – Rocker Cover Replacement Done Right
Just completed a full rocker cover job on a Mercedes 651. These plastic covers are prone to warping, which leads to oil leaks — a very common issue once the car hits around 100,000 miles.
We removed the old warped cover (see photo), also pulled the injectors, cleaned them thoroughly, fitted new seals, and replaced the stretch bolts with fresh ones for a proper, long-lasting repair.
Genuine Mercedes rocker cover tip: The OEM part is actually cheaper than most aftermarket options and fits perfectly without the headaches.
If your 651 is around the 100k mark or you’ve spotted any oil leaks from the top, get it checked before it gets worse. We’re seeing this exact issue more and more.
