003. The final chapter.

This was the last set of Retrostripes 003 wore before we sold it.

By then, this van had been everywhere with us. Shows, weekends away, stupidly long drives, the NC500, Switzerland and more miles loaded with memories than we could ever properly document.

It wasn’t built to sit still.

The final graphics reflected that. More restrained than some of its earlier looks. Bronze, champagne and grey flowing across the black bodywork. Mature, perhaps. Still unmistakably Dubsta.

003 was never just a show van. It was our trusty travel partner. The van we packed, pointed at somewhere miles away and trusted to get us there and home again.

And it did. Every bloody time.

One final look for one hell of a chapter.

Designed. Cut. Installed. By Dubsta.

Made for adventure.

DUBSTA ARCHIVE // DUBSTAVAL 2022

Back to 2022 and Dubstaval.

A properly hot summer’s day, a field full of Volkswagens and the R32 Owners Club joining us for the day.

Nothing complicated. Good cars, good people and a shared obsession with VWs.

Four years later, Dubsta looks very different. Bigger ideas, broader horizons, but days like this are part of the history that got us here.

The archive isn’t nostalgia. It’s the proof.

Dubstaval 2022.

DUBSTA EDITION — AIR COOLED

Some shapes don’t need reinventing.
They just need corrupting slightly.

An air-cooled Beetle, taken down to the floor and rebuilt through the Dubsta lens.

Roof down.
Pentagons tucked hard.
More camber than good judgement.
Graphite paint, bronze detailing and a Retrostripe treatment subtle enough to look like it could always have been there.

Then the bits you only notice when you get close. Period interior details, pinstriping, hardware, badging and an air-cooled motor dressed to match.

Not a restomod trying to become a modern car.

Still unmistakably Beetle. Just unmistakably Dubsta too.

DUBSTA EDITION 07
Details that speak.

Built not bought — but we appreciate both.

From the Dubsta Register.
sycworx Volkswagen Transporter T5.1.
This one is classified “the display” already and we have had an insight into the winter plans for this. Truly one to watch. It’s an incredible build already and there’s more to come.

Will it be at Campermart 2027? No pressure mate 🤪

Special thanks to this one for the hard work and dedication given to Dubsta 006 during the hottest week on record. Can’t thank you enough.

Dubsta // RoadHaus
Grindelwald. Switzerland 🇨🇭 2024

This was one of our favourite places to stop. The campsite was straight under the cable cars leading out to jungfrau, lauterbrunnen and first. As a central hub for a Swiss adventure this one is tough to beat. We stayed for about 4 nights before moving on to see more of the epic scenery and sights you’ll only find in Switzerland.

Recommended!

Dubsta Archive // RoadHaus Series
Switzerland // 003

One of those trips that still feels slightly unreal.

003 loaded up and pointed at the Alps. Geneva, Lausanne, Lucerne, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Leukerbad and Zermatt, with some of the best roads we’ve ever driven in between.

Grimsel Pass. Furka Pass. Susten Pass.

Big mileage, ridiculous scenery, proper mountain roads and the kind of places that make you pull over just to take it all in.

This is exactly what RoadHaus was always supposed to be about.

Not just building the vans.

Using them.

Mountains. Memories. Miles.

We'll go first.

That's ours, and days like this one are the whole point of it. Boards in, doors open, nowhere in particular to be.

Something we've wondered about for a while though. A lot of the best builds in this community seem to belong to people who work for themselves. Maybe the sort of brain that can't leave a van alone struggles to leave a business alone either.

So, genuine question and no agenda behind it: how many of you run your own thing? Trade, workshop, agency, or a side hustle that quietly turned into a proper job.

Tell us what you do in the comments. We're curious what the split actually is in here.

RETROSTRIPE // CLUBSPORT S

1 of 400.

The Golf GTI Clubsport S was already a very special thing before we touched it.

The brief wasn’t to reinvent it. It was to add something that felt like it could have belonged there from the start.

A bespoke Retrostripe treatment designed around the original Clubsport S details, extending the factory graphic language without losing what makes the car what it is.

Subtle. Period influenced. Properly considered.

Designed. Cut. Installed. By Dubsta.

Classic stripes. Modern obsession.

DUBSTA RETROMOD // MK1 GOLF GTI 50

1976. The Golf GTI arrives and quietly changes the rules.
2026. Fifty years later, we wondered what a Dubsta anniversary edition might look like.

Keep the shape. Keep the red grille. Keep the tartan. Keep everything that made the original instantly recognisable.

Then mess with it.

Decked stance. Gold mesh splits. Period-inspired Retrostripe graphics. Reworked GTI interior. Dubsta detailing throughout.

Nothing that tries to turn a Mk1 into a modern car. Just fifty years of hindsight applied to one of Volkswagen’s greatest shapes.

Dubsta Retromod // Golf GTI 50
1976–2026.

Old enough to know better.
Still low enough not to care.
