🎉 S&A Buddies is 9 years old! 🎉

We’re not really ones for lots of fanfare, but some milestones deserve to be celebrated, and this week S&A Buddies turns 9 years old! ❤️💙

Nine years of supporting people in our community, building relationships, overcoming challenges, sharing plenty of laughter and, most importantly, doing our very best to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.

A huge thank you to every member of staff, past and present, who has been part of our journey and helped shape S&A Buddies into what it is today. To our clients and their families, thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be part of your lives. And to all the professionals, organisations and services we’ve worked alongside over the years, thank you for your continued support and partnership.

S&A Buddies wouldn’t be what it is without the people behind it, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part over the last nine years.

Do you want a job where you genuinely make a difference every single day?

We’re looking for kind, reliable and compassionate people to join the S&A Buddies team as Community Companions, supporting people to live independently in their own homes and within their local communities.

No two days are ever the same. You could be helping someone with:
💙 Personal care
🛒 Shopping and errands
🍽️ Meal preparation
🧹 Light household tasks
🚗 Getting out into the community
☕ Companionship and friendship
🎨 Supporting hobbies, interests and social activities

You don’t need previous care experience – if you have the right attitude, a caring nature and a genuine desire to help others, we’d love to hear from you. Full support and training will be provided.

What you’ll need:

✔️ Be 18 or over
✔️ Hold a full UK driving licence
✔️ Have access to your own vehicle
✔️ Be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check

What we offer:

✨ 16–20 hour contracts (with opportunities for additional hours)
✨ Paid travel time and mileage
✨ Competitive rates of pay (at least National Minimum Wage)

Another wonderful day at our second week of Day Service! 💚

It was another lovely day filled with laughter, friendship and plenty of smiles. Today we spent time planting seeds, enjoyed a few games of Ahoy, and most importantly, shared each other’s company.

It’s amazing to see friendships continuing to grow week by week. These moments may seem simple, but they make such a difference, bringing people together, encouraging conversation, supporting wellbeing and creating a real sense of belonging.

⚓️ Game Prepared for Our Day Service – AHOY! ⚓️

One of the games ready for our Day Service is Ahoy!, a fun playing card bingo-style game that’s always full of laughter and friendly competition.

Players each receive a card with playing card symbols on it, and as the cards are called out, they mark off the matching ones on their board. The first person to mark off nine cards shouts “Ahoy!” to win.

Games like Ahoy are about so much more than winning. They help promote concentration, memory, visual recognition and listening skills, while encouraging social interaction, communication and confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment. Most importantly, they bring people together, creating opportunities to laugh, chat and enjoy each other’s company.

We can’t wait to play this one with everyone! ⚓️💚

What a wonderful first day at our new Day Service! 💛

Today was filled with laughter, conversation, reminiscing, games, new friendships and plenty of smiles. It was so lovely to see everyone enjoying each other’s company in such a warm and welcoming environment.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today possible. Your support, kindness and hard work made our first session such a success. It was also a pleasure to welcome the Day Opportunities Info Pembrokeshire team —thank you for coming along to see the service in action.

We can’t wait to do it all again next week!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new *Day Service, starting Tuesday 7th July, based at The Fold Hubberston

At S&A Buddies, we are passionate about creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where people can enjoy companionship, meaningful activities and a genuine sense of community.

Our day service will run every Tuesday from 10:00am – 3:00pm and will offer a friendly, engaging space including:

🍽️ Light Lunch & refreshments included
💙 A warm, supportive and inclusive atmosphere
