HOLIDAY REMINDER
3 weeks to the day, S&G will be on their usual annual shutdown, and taking a well deserved rest for a week.
Bookings are being taken for September now for work that requires a certain amount of time to undertake.
We are still taking in work prior to going away, but only on the proviso that we can undertake the job, and complete it before we shutdown.
All bikes that are with S&G will need to be paid for, and collected, once you are notified that the work has been done prior to 22 August 2026.
We will not be able to store any bikes here whilst we are away.
As ever, we really appreciate your support to S&G and your custom, and will be back on Tuesday 01 September 2026. After all it would be rude not to take advantage of that Bank Holiday 😜

Please Note:
From today, I will no longer be able to take £50 notes due to the risk of them being counterfeit. I know a few customers have paid with these over the last few months and I have had no issues with paying them in. However, with the high risk of counterfeit notes in circulation, I have to protect the business, and of course, you the customer, as it will be both of us out of pocket.
In addition to this, ironically £20 notes are back in the spotlight due to the amount of counterfeit notes in circulation. I will not be refusing these at the moment and will monitor the situation.
Counterfeit notes affect us all and can leave the most vigilant of us out of pocket. If we can all take the steps to prevent them being in circulation between S&G and you, the customer, then that can only be for the good.
I will still continue to take cash as payment, and will continue to do so as I have always done.
Many thanks for your understanding and as always, thank you for your custom. As a small business, I really appreciate your support.

All drama this morning! Not witnessed by us but apparently a criminal was hiding under Steve's van for half an hour whilst being searched for by the police!
Our neighbour's son saw his arm sticking out from underneath and alerted them to his whereabouts! Was clearly not good at Hide 'n Seek as a kid!
Just hope Steve doesn't get charged with aiding and abetting or worse still harbouring a criminal! 🤣😂😁

⚙️PARTS🛠️
It is with regret that S&G are unable to fit parts that have NOT been purchased through us. The two main, valid reasons for this are:

❌Parts bought elsewhere are an unknown quantity. Despite them being bought from sites such as eBay, we have no idea of the lifespan or credibility of them, and therefore will not be able to provide a warranty or guarantee.
❌As it stands, Steve will be liable for any part/s purchased elsewhere. Should they go wrong S&G will be held responsible for the consequences, meaning his insurance for S&G will not cover him. This would leave S&G in a very financially and legally bad situation.

If you believe that getting them off sites such as eBay is a cheaper option, then in the long run it is not. There are a lot of fake parts out there, and also non-genuine parts will not last as long. Steve can get most parts and at reasonable prices. It is always the better option for you and for your bike.

Please don't be offended when we refuse to fit your parts that you have purchased elsewhere. This is to safeguard you and us.
