🚨🚗VW GOLF GTI 🚗🚨

🚗 Another fault diagnosed and repaired at TJ AUTOS! 🔧

This vehicle came in with a coolant leak and was also stuck in limp mode, leaving the owner with a lack of power.

After carrying out a full diagnosis, we found:
✅ A leaking water pump, causing the coolant loss.
✅ Corroded wiring loom pins, which were creating an electrical fault and triggering limp mode.

The repair involved replacing the faulty water pump, repairing the damaged wiring and corroded terminals, followed by clearing fault codes and carrying out thorough testing to ensure everything was working as it should.

The result? ✅ Coolant leak resolved, full power restored, and another happy customer back on the road.

🚗 Mercedes A-Class – Wet Carpets Investigation & Repair 💧

We recently had a Mercedes A-Class in with a common but frustrating issue – soaking wet rear carpets.

The customer initially suspected a door seal or sunroof drain issue, but after carrying out a full water ingress inspection, we traced the root cause to failed rear bumper vents.

🔎 What was happening?
The rear bumper pressure vents (located behind the rear bumper) had deteriorated and were no longer sealing correctly. This allowed rainwater and road spray to enter the vehicle, soaking into the boot area and rear footwells.

Over time, this led to:
• Saturated sound deadening
• Damp carpets
• Risk of mould and electrical faults

🛠 What we did:
✔ Removed rear bumper
✔ Replaced faulty bumper vents
✔ Dried and treated interior carpets
✔ Checked for any additional ingress points

Once repaired and fully dried, the vehicle was watertight again and ready to go 👌

⚠ If you’ve got unexplained damp carpets in your Mercedes A-Class, don’t ignore it.
