Down to the amount of undercovers fitted to modern vehicles, it becomes difficult for MOT testers to properly assess brake pipes. Covers cannot be removed on a vehicle during a MOT test and therefore it's easy for brake pipes to be missed .
The consequences of this can be complete brake failure and risk of serious injury.
