We are going international!

When we first started the hire side of our business this is exactly what we imagined it would be, enabling disabled people to travel and enjoy the freedom that a WAV can bring.

However, we have soon come to realise that sadly this isn’t always the case, with 80% of our business being enabling people to attend funerals.

Today we have secured our first international hire, we spoke to Adam who is a support worker who is wanting to take one of his clients to Paris for the week! It was great to speak to someone so passionate and positive about care and it was clear how much he loves his job and the people he works with.

We are genuinely looking forwards to seeing some photos of our WAV in Paris and can’t wait to see where it ends up next!

Our lovely 18k mile Berlingo found its new home today! Michaela showed the customer around the vehicle, taking the time to ensure it was the right car for the job, fitting the customers needs and budget perfectly.

Michaela has over 20 years experience in the care sector, so understands disability and is a true asset to the team here at Wheelchair Vehicles.

We’re going to put it through our workshop next week, give it a thorough once over and fresh MOT before delivering it personally to the new owner up in Chester Le Street. We’ll be sure to demo the car again at the customers home to ensure they’re comfortable using the car and its adaptions before we leave.

Our beautiful Fiat Doblo with only 11k miles on the clock found its new home this week. We’re going to put this one through the workshop, it’ll be MOT’d and fully inspected despite its low mileage to ensure it’s as good as it can be.

We’re opening up on Sunday to suit the customers needs around care for her husband to do the handover.

This is one of my all time favourites!

The colour is just lovely, it’s really different and shines beautifully in the sun.

Fitted with the 1.6 HDI, it’s a dream to drive with plenty of power. With only 23k on the clock, it’s like new!

Being a 68 plate, this is the very last of the best Berlingo they ever made in my opinion, it’s the ultimate WAV if you’re looking for something that’s going to stand the test of time.
