🚗 Ford timing belt due? Worth getting it looked at

We do a lot of timing belt jobs on Fords, including wet belt systems in models like the Fiesta, Focus, Puma, Mondeo, Kuga, Transit Courier and Transit Connect.

If your Ford has a 1.0 EcoBoost, it’s likely running a wet belt. They’re great for efficiency, but a bit more involved when it’s time to change them.

They run inside the engine oil and need the right tools and experience to do the job properly, which we’ve got here at Auto-Tech.

⚠️ Looking after your car matters, even before an MOT

An MOT checks whether your vehicle meets the legal safety and environmental standards on the day it's tested. It isn't a substitute for regular maintenance.

If a car arrives with obvious signs that it's unsafe or not fit to be tested, an MOT station can refuse to carry out the test. And if hidden mechanical faults develop during the normal testing process, that doesn't automatically make the testing station responsible.

The best approach is simple:
✅ Keep on top of servicing
✅ Replace timing belts and other parts when they're due
✅ Don't ignore unusual noises or warning lights
✅ Get problems checked before they become expensive repairs

A well-maintained vehicle is safer, more reliable and far more likely to sail through its MOT.
