It’s certainly been a day for our local driving instructor community…

A post was published today which, sadly, has belittled independent driving instructors and driving schools, and it has understandably left many people feeling saddened and angry.

In my 14 years of doing this job, I’ve never seen such a public attempt to undermine our local independent instructors — many of whom have worked incredibly hard to build their businesses from the ground up.

I’m here to support my colleagues — independents AND driving schools alike. 🤝

There is room for all of us in this industry. We can all succeed without tearing someone else down to make ourselves look better.

No negativity.
No belittling.
No undermining.

Instead, let’s support one another, celebrate the great work happening within our local industry and show that we can stand together.

PLEASE, let’s flood Facebook with positivity, support and unity. ❤️

Different businesses. Different approaches. One profession.

What a way to brighten up this damp October morning.

I am unbelievably proud of this one. This is my friends son James who has passed his driving test ⭐️FIRST TIME⭐️ in Chesterfield with ⭐️ZERO FAULTS⭐️

James has been on and off with his driving for a few years now, but this time was the right time for him to see it through, and he delivered the perfect drive to show it.

He also brought along with him this good luck teddy. Its name (he thinks) is Leo and was his Nana’s, how amazing is that, and worked a charm!

So WELL DONE JAMES!! So bloody proud of you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’m having a moan, coz I’m in a proper moany mood today - the roads are bedlam in Chez with all the roadworks in place….

My pupil dealt beautifully with the ambulance we could hear and see coming well before we came to the stop…. Don’t think the video quite picks up the ambulance driver waving her arms in despair at the considerates in lane one, but they will certainly have heard her honking her horn at them 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s been an eventful old week….

Had the best weekend in The Lakes on the motorbike, some very much needed away time.

…. And the week finishes on this 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 when I called to order a new tyre, the manager knew my tyre size without me even telling him because I’m forever there 🙈

Ahh well, could be worse!! Happy weekend peeps!

That’s a pretty sobering statistic 😳

Learning to drive isn’t just about passing your test. It’s about developing good judgement, hazard awareness and experience to keep yourself and others safe.

So don’t rush your learning. There’s no prize for being the quickest to pass.

The real goal isn’t just “I passed!” 🎉

It’s “I got home safely.” ❤️
