🚴 Give cyclists space.

When overtaking at up to 30 mph, allow at least 1.5 metres. At higher speeds, give more space. If you cannot pass safely, stay back and wait.

A little patience helps keep everyone safe.

🚗 Everyone starts as a learner.

Give learner drivers time and space. Be patient, keep a safe following distance, never use your horn aggressively, and overtake only when safe and legal.

Our illustrated handout explains the Highway Code guidance. If you’re learning, stay calm and don’t let pressure rush your decisions.
