Quite possibly the worst fan belt we’ve seen still hanging on…

Just because you can’t see it or hear it, doesn’t mean it’s not just about to go. This was spotted as the vehicle came in for handbrake failure.

When your vehicle leaves our workshop - you’ll be given a comprehensive list of what’s wrong with it. Not because we’re money grabbing, but we don’t want a phone call after you’ve left the workshop saying “since you”

We don’t slaughter your vehicles - but we give you an insight what you might expect to go wrong in 6-12 months, perhaps even sooner. How you choose to deal with that is up to you. Whether you want the work done or not, we absolutely WILL make you aware.

A lovely call from the AA today asking if we had availability to fit a clutch on a customers vehicle.

We said to the AA we were already pretty stretched but we learnt the customer had visited Thanet on a day trip and it was imperative for a quick turn around and we couldn’t help but say yes.

The thrust bearing had completely disintegrated and unfortunately damaged the clutch fork in the process. We hit a bit of a crossroad when we realised no aftermarket supplier could source a clutch fork the same day (Saturday) - but after a trawl through our extensive range of breaker cars and car spares, just by the grace of God we had a clutch fork meaning the customer had a very quick turnaround! Another happy result!

Calling all Vauxhall Adam owners!

We’ve just had a 2015 Vauxhall Adam recovered to the workshop for excessive corrosion to the front subframe, causing the Nearside lower arm to become fully detached from the wheel.

In these circumstances, we can tell it’s been like this for a while as the tyre has worn on all edges and no doubt driving this vehicle would’ve been an absolute challenge.

But when the customer hit a pot hole, the corrosion gave out completely and as a result lost complete control of their car. (check the damage to the NSF sill where the wheel had kicked back!)

Corrosion on a vehicle is absolutely no joke. If it is advised on your MOT - it’s not just “advice” - corrosion doesn’t improve, it gets worse with every new day.

So on the basis of this, we’re offering ALL Vauxhall Adam owners a FREE HEALTH-CHECK to ensure that your car is safe.

It’s a real testament to the downfall of the motor trade in its current climate as manufacturers continue to source cheaper materials with minimal rust prevention.

This is not the only make or model that suffers from issues like this and take this as a prime example of how a car that’s barely 10 years old is just crumbling away…

WE HAVE MOVED

PSA! We’ve got exciting news for you all!

Firstly, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience in delays in communication over the course of the last week. Many of you will know that WE HAVE NOW MOVED!

But not to worry, we haven’t gone far…only NEXT DOOR 🤣

Just wanted to thank all of our amazing customers for making this a possibility and a huge thank you to all whom have supported us. This has been a great journey so far and we’re absolutely thrilled to expand our horizons.

- Still very much offering Mobile based services for your convenience and requirements - plus, we look forward to a change of scenery.

The workshop will be back in full swing as of Monday 20th April.

We will be closed from 28th April to 3rd of May but bookings and enquiries will be very much welcome during that time.

We’re sad to see our old unit go, but it is in the excellent hands of Halls Detailing, who will certainly be able to assist you with any car cleaning or detailing enquiries. The quality of their work is top notch.

Now with all of this additional space, it needs filling! So get booking! 🫡
