Our S90 enjoys another birthday. 29 years ago today, I had the pleasure of handing her over to her first owner, on 1st August 1997, when it was the annual “new registration day”

Ouch!!! One unfortunate XC90 owner from the US has his T6 totalled by a fallen tree - a great big fallen tree! Apparently, it’s the 3rd time it’s happened to his cars since the late 80’s…. All Volvo’s.
Time to find a new parking spot I think. 😳

P.S. It started up just fine afterwards 😀

A throwback to 1988. This was the staff line up at Speeds Volvo Mansfield on Commercial Gate, Nottingham Road. The photograph has been taken from a scrap book collection , put together by the late Ted Speed, founder of Speeds Motor Group and currently being collated by Mike Dabell. You may spot a familiar face (or two for the sharpest of eyed amongst you) that were also around at Clayton’s in Mansfield.
Happy days… wish we could buy that 340 for £8585 new today!!

MOT test day today for our 28 year old S90 - we needn’t have worried as she’s flown through and all set for another year on the road!

One of our favourite Volvos, now moved onto a new retailer. 2023 S60 B5 mild hybrid all wheel drive Geartronic auto. 250 Bhp, smooth quiet power train, fairly rare, assembled in Volvo’s North American , Ridgeville, South Carolina plant, sadly, no longer produced for the UK. We took her from 4,000 miles to just over 13,000 in a year.
