Hi guys, It's been a busy time over here at NJ Motor Repairs since we moved into our unit. While many of you will be winding down for the summer holidays, we'll still be here grinding away!

For those of you that are interested here's a few snapshots of what's been going on:

Photo 1: A 1975 Triumph came in for a rear suspension rebuild and rear brake shoe replacement keeping this beauty on the road for many more years and transformed it's handling.

Photo 2: Being where we are we now have the privilege of keeping SDL Car Parts vans on the road.

Photo 3 and 4: A Suzuki Swift came to us needing a lot more than a plaster... after throwing a rod through the bottom of the engine. We performed a heart transplant for the car and got her running again.

Photo 5: Electrical gremlins have been at it again, on this car we replaced the plug for the DPF pressure sensor.

Photo 6: A lucky escape for this chap who came in for a service, thanks to our checks we found the timing belt had worn through and was due to snap at any point allowing us to replace it before causing engine failure.

Photo 7: This Audi TT RS came to us believing it needed a steering rack due to a clicking noise. Fortunately for them we gave it a diagnosis and found it was simply an incorrectly fitted top mount - a much easier and cheaper repair!

Photo 8 and 9: A Ford Focus 1.6 Eco boost came to us with an overheating problem, firm on replacing a thermostat in an attempt to fix the problem it still didn't resolve the issue. After further investigation it failed a 'Sniff Test' and was 20 PSI down on cylinder 4 even though she only had a head gasket done last year. A temporary repair was carried out while the customer decided if she wants to replace / rebuild the engine.

If you've made it this far I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone, we wouldn't be where we are without you guys and it makes us to proud to be able to help out when needed. There's been a lot on long nights and weekend over time but I'd do it all again tomorrow to keep you guys happy and safe on the road.

Hi all

Just a bit of an update for you

Firstly the MOT and service deal is up and running so get a MOT and a full service from £199!

Secondly for the foreseeable future I will be operating out of Dallas street tyres Mansfield NG18 5SZ
This is a giant step forward as yes sadly I wont be doing any mobile work however I can now fit more jobs in a day reducing wait time and also get to stay warm and dry no matter the weather

lastly I will be on annual leave W/C 23/02/2026 (next week).
if you need anything my phone will be on still to book in for my return but if its urgent I recommend you try and get in this week before I go away and before I fill up.

As we have the holidays fast approaching want to firstly wish you all a brilliant time.
Secondly want to let you know I will be open through the holidays with these hours below

So the first week is coming to an end and I just want to say thank you to you all for the response I’ve had to coming back. I can say for sure it was well worth it as I haven’t stopped since Monday morning.

A few questions to answer regarding opening hours and payments

So I’m operating mobile meaning if you’re at home, work or out and about I will come to you until I get a unit. My hours are
Monday to Friday 8-6 and Saturdays 8-2
Outside of these hours I will still be available however there will be an emergency or out of hours charge but that will depend on the individual circumstances.
Payment can be cash, card contactless only limit if £100, apple/ google/ android pay unlimited or bank transfer is all accepted.
Any other questions please ask

Hi, due to an unexpected health event I will be off work until 18/03/24 where I should be fine to return to work, at least under light duties.
