Blast from the past today for a none starter that my customer needs to relocate….. Old school checking the basics . Sorry kids you can’t plug your scanners into this classic little lady!
Compression ✅
Ignition ✅
Fuel ✅
🤔 ??????
Carburettor plunger oiled , jet and float chamber cleaned, points checked then spoon fed some fresh go-go juice pumped straight to the carburettor.
POW! Bursts back into life like it was 1957.
Official Diagnosis :- bad fuel (years old)
Tank drained with a gallon of fresh drink and she’s good for another 68 years.
All good for the move to her new home 🏡

The Bank Holiday is not far away (AGAIN!)
So don’t forget to pop in for a Spring check before you hit those busy roads on Friday … all the way to a temporary set of traffic light on the first main road you arrive at….They’re everywhere 🙄

Just a little tip for those people who like to check their under bonnet levels. Something to remember is that your brake fluid very rarely needs to be topped up , probably only by your mechanic on a service. So if your brake fluid level warning light / hand brake light comes on there maybe a more serious issue. This ladies little Skoda warning light came on because her brake wheel cylinder had burst and contaminated her brake linings and most of the fluid leaked through . All sorted now though and back ont road . another happy customer 👍🏼

Trading standards have received reports of bogus callers, claiming to be an employee of Bury Council and attempting to enter the property by claiming to check for damp or cracks. The male is casually dressed, has no ID and carries a clipboard.

Do not allow entry into your property unless you have an arranged appointment, if you are unsure ask for ID or contact the council directly, questioning their intentions and legitimacy.
