Our experienced gardener Karen Wilson, who keeps the Centurion Manchester site looking beautiful and shares her gardening wisdom in every edition of the Centurion magazine, has spotted three stunning butterflies enjoying her foliage recently: a Small Tortoiseshell, Holly Blue and Peacock. 🦋

And what a trio! The Peacock was crowned Britain’s Favourite Butterfly in 2026. Named because of the eyespots, which can help deter predators. The Holly Blue is a real garden specialist, with caterpillars feeding on holly in spring and ivy later in the year.

Thanks to Karen for sharing her beautiful snaps, more proof that a little gardening can bring plenty of wildlife to the home and workspace!

We recently spent the day filming with the team at GBA Logistics, exploring the relationship between two successful businesses and why choosing the right partner can make all the difference.

We heard from GBA co-founder & owner David Birkbeck, Managing Director Rachael Forshaw, Transport Manager,,
Paul Harrison and Driver Trainer, Andrew Rumney, alongside Centurion Truck Rental Managing Director Warren Fletcher and our Engineering & Maintenance Manager Maurice Thornton, who works closely with customers and service providers every day.

Happy 50th Birthday, Sarah Buckley!

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for our fabulous Senior Credit Controller, Sarah!

The team went all out to make the office look spectacular and a special mention has to go to the amazingly talented Samantha Craig for creating Sarah’s incredible glittery birthday hat... We think it’s going to get plenty more outings this month!

Sarah says she can’t believe she’s 50, as she still remembers celebrating her 18th! But she’s certainly making the most of this milestone with a mixture of exciting celebrations amongst family and friends.
We have a feeling the birthday celebrations might continue for as long as possible... and why not?

Welcome to the Team, Gareth!

Please join us in giving a warm Centurion Truck Rental welcome to Gareth “Gaz” Rawson, who has now been with us for two months at our Tankersley depot as a Shunter Driver and Valeter.

Gaz brings with him an impressive 24 years of Class 1 driving experience, including what many would consider a dream job, working with the McLaren Formula 1 Team on the European racing circuit. A fantastic achievement and certainly one to tick off the bucket list!

Outside of work, Gaz is married with a 12-year-old son, who inspired him to come off the road and spend more quality time with his family. When he’s not at Centurion, you’ll often find him in Snowdonia, camera in hand, photographing low-flying military jets, a hobby he’s incredibly passionate about. He also enjoys giving back to the community by coaching children’s football.

We’re delighted to have Gaz as part of the Centurion team and look forward to seeing him continue to settle in.
