TEAM55 // foundation track day experience a couple of weeks back was a real success, Raising great money for chosen charity ‘Alder Hey Children’s Hospital’ 💙 Three top guys got to experience the pure adrenaline of what circuit racing is all about. It’s safe to say everyone had a fun day out 😁 HUGE big up to who donated his 116 to us for the day to step in for poorly Betty… 🤕 True club racing spirit right there. Thank you to James & Mark who also helped out on passenger rides and track time too. Happy days 🏁💯🤠

📣RACE REPORT // ROUND 4 SNETTERTON📣

116 Sprints ~
RACE 1 // P19 ➡️ P9
RACE 2 // P13 ➡️ DNF 🤕

Tricky conditions set me back in Qualifying on the Saturday morning, Race 1 I managed to work right back up the grid finishing inside the TOP10!
Onto Race 2 now I had another great start batting for P10, then an unfortunate tap from behind on lap 2 sent me spinning into the infield dropping me right back down the order, then towards the end of the race I got totally taken out from behind into the braking zone at Agostini a DNF result to end the day totally gutted… However going home was NO option… TEAM55 stepped up and all hands on deck Betty’s damage was stripped down & repaired ready to go again for Sunday! 🔧👏🏼
Top effort team, also big thank you for the parts! 💯

Quali P19 // 90Min Race result ~ P19 / 35 🏁
A tricky & eventful endurance race full of mixed conditions, one extreme to the other! ☀️☔️⛈️ Great fun to end the weekend bringing it home across the line in a mid pack position.

So to sum up we had a very action packed weekend, Next up Cadwell Park 12th / 13th July 🤠🏁

‘Ultimate BMW Race’ ~ 120i Coupe’s first race!
Quali ~ P8 (P3 in class)
40Min Race result ~ P6 overall (P2 in class)

All round looking back on Saturday we had a real great days racing at our local circuit! Achieving our highest sprint finish yet a P8 📈 The 120i Coupe’s maiden voyage was a huge success! Great to share the drive with our good friend who showed fast pace on his first BMW outing 👏🏻 Thank you to all our friends, family & sponsors who come to support TEAM55 trackside we sure had a blast 🤠 Short turn around now… back out at Snetterton next weekend! 🏁

Saturday Sprints ~
Q1 ~ P8 // Race 1 result ~ DNF (Snapped shock) ❌
Q2 ~ P11 // Race 2 result ~ P9 🏁

Sunday Endurance ~
Quali ~ P14 // 90Min Race result ~ P9 / 38 🏁

So we went the UK’s Fastest circuit with & it certainly did not disappoint!!
Saturday morning was great achieving my best Quali result to date P8! The highs 📈 then onto the lows 📉 a snapped rear shock on the first lap of Race 1 was a sketchy situation to deal with at the high speeds of Thruxton… I was gutted but glad to bring her into the pits safe in one piece. That’s racing for ya.
Problem fixed & onto Race 2 I managed to keep with the fast pace of the Top 10 cars in full ‘Nascar’ style bringing it across the finish line in P9! Fantastic race, bumpers flying the lot 😂

Sunday endurance day, Quali was good P14 a nice place to be for the rolling start with my aim of top 10 in close view. I raced a consistent fast paced 90Min race keeping it clean looking after the car & tyres to ensure they lasted the full distance of 50+ laps! Great strategy from Dad on the intercom with pit stops timings ensured we got the job done & finished across the line in P9! Best result yet!! Mega end to the weekend we were buzzing!! Thank you to & for your support & help over the weekend 💯🤠🏁 Finally big up all our sponsors ensuring we can be competitive 🙌🏼 Onto Round 3, Oulton Park 31st of May! See you there 😜
