Losing coolant? Don’t just keep topping it up. This vehicle came into our Mallusk garage with a coolant leak.

Coolant loss can come from a number of places including hoses, connections, seals, radiators, water pumps and other parts of the cooling system.

The important thing is finding where the coolant is actually escaping from before the level gets low enough to cause overheating.

🚗 This car came in with a loss of power while driving.

Once we started stripping it down, it became clear that someone had been in here before us, with bolts missing from several areas around the intake.

Further diagnostics uncovered the real problem.

The electrical plug for one of the fuel injectors had melted.

We replaced the damaged wiring, fitted a new multi-plug and injector, rebuilt everything and took the car out for a test drive.

Problem solved and the car is pulling properly again.

Loss of power can have many different causes. Proper diagnostics means finding the fault rather than simply guessing which part needs replaced.

How about this for a mad one… we’ve just hit 10 years of 1Stop Motor Shop in Newtownabbey! 🎉🔧

10 years of fixing cars, helping customers, growing the business and keeping Newtownabbey moving. It’s hard to believe it’s been a full decade already.

From where we started to where we are today, a lot has changed over the years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the support we’ve had from our customers.

We’ve had customers who have been with us from the early days, plenty of new faces along the way, and more cars through the doors than we’d ever want to count. 😂

A massive thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their cars, recommended us to friends and family, shared our posts, left us reviews or simply supported the business over the last 10 years. It genuinely means a lot.

A customer came into our garage in Mallusk, worried they had a coolant leak after noticing water underneath their car.

The good news… It wasn’t a coolant leak at all.

It was simply condensation draining from the air conditioning system, which is completely normal.
