Barry Treadwell Driver Training Barry has been a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor since 1993. He is currently graded A, which is the highest that can be achieved.

He was the National Training Manager for BSM and the AA Driving Schools and created and developed their Training programs.

A fitting tribute for David Mcknight last night at Kingsmeadow with a period of silence. We exchanged messages last week on my retirement with a plan to say hello at my next visit. RIP Dave keep the grass green.

Retirement
Today is my last day as a working ADI. I started in 1993 with my first lesson being to a Portuguese man who didn’t speak English, using his daughter as a translator. For over 25 years I have trained and developed hundreds of instructors for BSM and the AA either as a franchised instructor or Learning and Development Manager.

I’d like to say that I’ve enjoyed every minute but who can honestly say that? I will say that it has been the best time of my working life and I have met some fantastic and interesting people. One of whom deserves a mention for his constant loyalty to me. It wouldn’t have been the same without you David Baldock.

I did feel a little sad to leave this business particularly because I wouldn’t have a need to use the skills I’ve developed over the 49 years I have worked. Then I thought of the use I have put those skills to away from work and the extra time I will have with family, particularly my Grandchildren.

For those who know. Tomorrow’s going to be a Blue Day and I shall KTBFFH.
