File Writer – Quantum Tuning Ltd
Location: Hybrid remote position, occasional visits to our headquarters in Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK will be required for training, team meetings and collaboration.
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Are you passionate about vehicles, automotive technology, and problem-solving? Quantum Tuning is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented File Writer to join our growing Files Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the remapping industry, supporting a global dealer network and helping deliver high-quality tuning files for a wide range of vehicles.
What You'll Be Doing
As a File Writer, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our Files Department, including:
• Creating and delivering tuning files using existing templates and processes
• Maintaining fast turnaround times while ensuring file quality and accuracy
• Handling support tickets assigned to you and assisting dealers with technical queries
• Providing telephone, online chat and ticket support to our dealer network
• Working with our Database Team to improve and maintain WinOLS projects and autoresponder systems
• Identifying and reporting issues relating to dealers, equipment, file quality or unusual vehicle behaviour
• Applying DTC handling techniques where required
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems, processes and database
What We're Looking For: Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong computer and keyboard skills
• Confident using Windows-based PC systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Polite and professional telephone manner
• Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Experience with WinOLS
• Understanding of ECU remapping and tuning files
• Knowledge of DTC management techniques
• Experience using support platforms such as Freshdesk
• Knowledge of Combustion Engines both gasoline and diesel
• Automotive diagnostic or tuning experience
