🔥Our home round of the South West Region BMX Racing series, what a weekend it was, and a cracking day for all Llynfi riders in this round 4. Superb atmosphere all around the track, and especially in and out the club gazebo and lots of really loud support for the riders which we love! 🤙🏼⚡️

⚫️🟡 Our riders had some cracking close battles, grabbed some awesome 1st places, and we had some new riders to regional racing. We saw good skills, pushed hard, gave everything, a few crashes, continued improvements, and some great results:

Cracking races with some awesome results top 3’s, and good placing from all our riders, looking competitive as the season goes on, good fun and good vibe on and off the track! 🤙🏼

Big shout out to all the parents, family members and friends supporting the riders, also with setting up and down of our club gazebo! 🐝

Huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers for a fabulous race day, as well as all the volunteers in the SW Region that make the races happen, the sun was just about shining and it was a great start to the season! ☀️

We’re looking forward to Cornwall BMX Racing Club for next round in a few weeks time, with a short break to get plenty of training in! 😎

✳️TRACK: £3 member/local | £4 non-members
✳️BIKE: hire BMX Race bike £2 member/local | £3 non-member (first come basis)
✳️HELMET: hire full face helmet £1 member/local | £2 non-member (first come basis)
✳️TO RIDE: must be competent rider for track, you can cycle around the perimeter on the flat areas if not. Using your own bike must have working rear brake and not have stunt-pegs
✳️GEAR: must wear a full face helmet (your own or hire ours), gloves (any will do), protective elbow and knee pads (if you have them), wear long sleeved top and trousers, no sliders/crocs
✳️ARRIVAL: Sign in & pay, hire bike & helmet
✳️DECLARATION: complete form for yourself or your child
✳️START GATE: see noted in sessions above
✳️REFRESHMENTS: available at our Cafe
✳️TOILETS: no onsite toilets (yet) so please go before you set off, otherwise it’s the bush or nearby supermarket!
✳️SESSIONS TYPE - one of these will be stated next to the date at the top of the post:
▪️Open Track - anyone can ride at any time during the time slot just turn up.
▪️Coaching Session - pre-book your place for a structured coaching session (skills & drills)
▪️Training Session - race day ready session with skills, fitness, laps and gate starts.

🏁 Rider Qualification 🏁

With the National at Cardiff BMX Racing Club event just around the corner and being the first National in Wales and the South West for many a year you want to race this! ⚡️

If you'd like to join in the fun and race riders from all around the country, a reminder that any new riders to national racing would have to complete 5️⃣ Regional Races before they are able to race at National Level. ✊🏼

You are still able to get 3 more South West Region BMX Racing regional rounds in before the National at Cardiff, with races at Cornwall-UK BMX Racing Club, BATH BMX CLUB, and also the Cardiff BMX Racing Club (which will be a great opportunity to practice for the up and coming National) to race at! 🤙🏼
