Infield Service & Support Engineer – Solent Area
£40,000–£45,000 + Bonus | Full-Time | Permanent

SAL Marine Ltd — 45+ years in the marine industry, growing fast, and looking for a sharp, self-motivated engineer to join us in a field-based role across the Solent area.
The Role You'll be out troubleshooting and resolving issues for new boat builders and large trade accounts, alongside some workshop time. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role that demands strong diagnostics, good communication, and the ability to work independently. Inboard and outboard experience essential.
What We're Looking For
Proven marine (or automotive) engineering experience
Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills
Confident with new engine installations and wider boat systems
Solid 12v/24v DC electrical knowledge
NVQ3 or equivalent (preferred) | 5+ years' experience
Organised, detail-focused, professional with customers
What You Get

Company van / mobile workshop
40hrs/week — 8:30–17:00 (Mon–Fri)
Manufacturer training (Volvo Penta, Honda, Suzuki)
