Home of the Contessa sailing yacht and the Atlas Carbon davit range. Jeremy Rogers Ltd has been in business since 1961 when Jeremy started building boats in his back yard in his home town of Lymington. Within 10 years Jeremy's Contessa brand became one of the most successful names in the yachting world and one of the largest boat manufacturers in Britain. Production included Contessas ranging in s

ize from the traditional 26 to the Doug Peterson designed grand prix 35s, 39s and 43s, many of which were exported to a worldwide market. The most popular of all the Contessas was undoubtedly the Contessa 32, Fastnet 1979 survivor and the small blue water cruiser of choice for countless adventurous short handed and single handed sailors since then. Today, a limited number of these much-loved classics are built to order adding to the more than 650 already sailing all over the world. Contessa refurbishments are another speciality of the yard in Lymington along with repair and refurbishment of all boats. Jeremy Rogers' company has long been involved in industrial moulding and today includes in it's manufacturing profile the Atlas Carbon davit range and other bespoke carbon fibre products like passarelles and carbon lifting beams.

This is what true one-design racing looks like. 🏆

After nearly nine hours of racing around the Isle of Wight, the first three Contessa 32s crossed the finish line just 10 seconds apart from one another. Even more impressively, half the fleet finished within 30 minutes of each other.

Congratulations to Bugler (featured in the second and third images) on taking the class win, followed by Binkie II and Concerto. A fantastic result for the whole fleet, and another memorable Round the Island Race

Thank you to for capturing this fantastic photo of Contessa 26, Rose of Purbecks, passing The Needles Lighthouse.

It’s hard to believe the Contessa Regatta was wrapping up two weeks ago today. ⛵️

After a fantastic weekend of racing, cruising and catching up with friends old and new, it was brilliant to see so many Contessas back out on the water yesterday for the Round the Island Race

From one unforgettable weekend to another, it’s great to see the fleet continuing to be sailed and enjoyed exactly as they were intended. 💙

In a month’s time, Cowes Week will be underway, and it’s set to be one for the history books.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Contessa 32 class having its own start at Cowes Week, alongside the event’s bicentenary celebrations.

We’re looking forward to seeing Contessas of all classes joining the action and being part of such a significant year.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of it. Standard entries close on 18th July, so enter now! 💙

With the 2026 Royal Solent Yacht Club Contessa Regatta just around the corner, preparations are well underway! ⛵

This year’s event is particularly special as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Contessa 26, and we’re looking forward to welcoming 33 entrants for what promises to be a fantastic weekend on and off the water.

With owners travelling from across the UK and far beyond, and a fleet made up of both racers and cruisers, the regatta is always a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new ones and celebrate everything that makes the Contessa community so special.

We can’t wait to see everyone in Yarmouth in just a few days time. Can you spot your Contessa name among the gins? 🍸

As many of you know, we're always keen to celebrate traditional boatbuilding and the skills that keep these crafts alive. Tomorrow, not far from our yard in Lymington, the historic shipyard at Buckler's Hard will be brought to life for their annual Traditional Boatbuilding Crafts Day.

Over the past week, 13 carpenters have been using traditional tools to build three large wooden ship capstans and a traditional sheerlegs lifting device.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see these historic machines demonstrated in action, alongside rope making, blacksmithing, sail making, caulking and other traditional maritime crafts.

There will also be a chance to try your hand at knot work, make a treenail and learn more about the tools and techniques that once played a vital role in wooden shipbuilding. If you have an interest in traditional boats, craftsmanship or maritime history, it's well worth a visit. 💙

The latest update on our Contessa 32 new build…

After modifications and improvements were made to the mould, we applied the gelcoat and have now moved on to laying the fibreglass.

It’s been all hands on deck, quite literally, as the team work their way through this exciting stage of the build.

Next stop: woodwork! 💙

Meet Amy! 👋

Amy joined our team part-time in October before becoming full-time in November. Officially, she is our fantastic receptionist.

Unofficially, she’s our organiser, paperwork expert, materials coordinator, problem solver and about ten other job titles we’re probably missing.

Keep watching to the end for the moments that make me think Amy may prefer being behind the desk rather than in front of the camera…

From Jeremy Rogers Limited, Simon, Jessie, Kit and family will be there aboard Assent, and we hope to see many familiar and new faces joining us too.
