A tidy package completed and ready for our customer to build into a dream fast road Mini engine.

This is one of the very last original 12G940 castings from our once-vast collection of Rover spares. In a couple of weeks' time we'll have brand new replacements ready to fit, as an alternative.

Of course we will also be able to continue modifying original heads with a suitable donor casting.

The finishing touch to any high performance A-Series engine build, our steel/alloy vernier adjustable duplex chain setup, two-piece alloy timing cover and back plate.

We've also mocked up the MED S damper assembly to complete the collection of high quality upgrades. If you're struggling with persistant oil leaks, this'll fix it!

The adjustable timing gears are a huge time saver when it comes to dialling in the camshaft timing, plus with the addition of the Iwis chain, accurate timing that lasts.

All in stock now. We also have options if you plan to run engine management and would like a 36:1 trigger wheel.

Congratulations to the team at Turtle Trading Japan for their recent win at the Sideways Trophy, held at Sodegaura Forest Raceway.

Jiro Shimazu's MED-equipped Mini was super competitive on this twisty circuit, qualifying second and taking the win ahead of a field of Alfa Romeos and classic Fords.

Nice driving! 🏁👍🏁

Pics as promised from Saturday morning. We were incredibly grateful for an amazing turnout, with some stunning Minis on display.

Winner of the MED golden rocker cover was Nathan and his lovely restored Minivan, with Craig's 8-port Clubman and Sam's retro-modified saloon taking the runner-up spots.

Thanks again to Piper Cams & Exhausts, Powerlite Units and Nitron Suspension for donating merchandise for the goody bags.

We'll plan another for next summer, so watch this space.

A first glimpse of a project that's been a long time in the making - a brand new MED A-Series head casting. It was inevitable we'd need to do this eventually, as our supply of original 12G940 castings began to dry up four or five years ago.

There's two main advantages to these - no coolant has ever pumped through the water jacket, so no corrosion, and we have them cast with performance in mind, so far less re-working is required to increase flow.

Chambers are CNC machined for super accuracy, they're '11-studded' from the beginning, fitted with hardened unleaded exhaust valve seats and also many other little details implemented from our decades of experience re-working A-Series cylinder heads.

We even have our logo cast in to the top face so you know it's one of ours!

Coming soon, either as a DIY head kit for home enthusiasts, or a complete head to our Road Competition specification.

Come and have a look for yourselves on Saturday at our cars and coffee meet, 9-12.
