π¦ Yellow Box Junctions
What You Need to Know π¦
Yellow boxes are designed to keep traffic flowing smoothly at busy junctions.
But many drivers are still unsure about when they can enter and when they must wait.
You must not enter a yellow box unless your exit road is clear.
The only exception is if you are turning right and are stopped from doing so by oncoming traffic or other vehicles also waiting to turn right.
Blocking a yellow box means blocking everyone else.
It causes congestion, delays, and frustration for all road users.
Most yellow box junctions are now monitored by cameras.
If you stop inside the box and obstruct traffic, you can be fined.
Think before you move.
If the traffic ahead is not moving, stay behind the line.
Entering the box when your exit is blocked will only hold up others and could land you with a penalty.
Yellow boxes are there to protect the flow of traffic.
Respect them and youβll help keep roads moving for everyone.
