Reminder that “I’ll just go if there’s a gap” only works if you’ve also checked what’s directly in front of you.
Waiting to turn into the junction, learner did the right thing and held back after deciding the gap wasn’t actually there.
Car behind didn’t quite share the same level of awareness and rolled into the back at very low speed while only looking for an opportunity ahead.
No drama, just a good example of why you don’t commit on hope alone.
Note: When emerging or following traffic, always make sure the space ahead is actually clear and moving, not just available. If anything feels uncertain, wait for the full picture before moving.
