Essex and Suffolk Water's Temporary Use Ban (TUB) as known as a hosepipe ban comes into force at 00:01 on Monday 3 August 2026.

At Lowestoft Beacon Marina, we ask all customers and visitors in the marina or on the hardstanding to please refrain from using hosepipes to wash boats until further notice.

Exceptions apply where:
• It's needed for health or safety reasons
• You're cleaning any area which, except for doors or windows, is enclosed by a roof and walls
• You're cleaning boats as part of a business
• The boat is your primary residence
• Cleaning is needed to reduce increased fuel consumption caused by fouling
• The engine is designed to be cleaned with a hosepipe
• Cleaning is needed to prevent or control the spread of invasive or non-native species

The following vessels will be advertised for sale by Lowestoft Beacon Marina from 14:00 hrs on 6th July 2026. Bidding will end at 14:00 hrs on 5th August 2026:

Interested bidders should submit sealed bids, in writing, by post or by hand to:

Bids should clearly state that it is a sealed bid, which vessel the bid relates to and the amount of the bid. Please also include your name, address, phone number and email address so that the Marina can contact you.

All vessels are subject to a reserve price, are being sold as seen on an “as is, where is” basis and will be sold to the highest bidder. It is strongly recommended that interested bidders view the vessels in person – please contact the Marina Manager to arrange viewings.

Vessels must be removed by the purchaser from the Marina no later than 28 days after completion of the sale unless otherwise agreed in advance of the sale with the Marina Manager.

All payments must be made via BACS or debit card, in full, within 28 days of the bid being accepted by the Marina.

The vessels are being sold by Associated British Ports (t/a Lowestoft Beacon Marina) (“ABP”) pursuant to a lien and power of sale and ABP gives no warranties and makes no representations in relation to any legal and/or physical aspects of the vessels. All warranties or conditions that may be implied by law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome RNLI Samarbeta to Lowestoft Beacon Marina, where she was safely lifted from the water and placed into storage.
