A little over 18 months ago I was working at Mercedes Benz in Loughborough when everyone was told we had nearly 4 weeks and the dealership was closing.

My heart sank. I had a family to support, a mortgage to pay and a wedding to fund. But I thought there had to be another way instead of cancelling all the plans me and my family had.

As some of you know I was running Colemans Auto Repair Services along side working at Mercedes Benz, which did help with getting my name out there and providing a service to my customers that was fair, honest and reasonably priced and thats the same as today.

I had loads of people telling me to make the jump and go self employed and leave Mercedes Benz but the fear of trying and failing was definitely a big concern. Truth is if Mercedes Benz of Loughborough hadn't of closed I think I'd still be there now, working 14, 15 and sometimes 16 hours a day including working for myself.

Sometimes things happen for a reason and this was my chance. I've barely started and I'll keep pushing to carry on offering the service I believe everyone should have.

2 french vehicles both in for timing chains but one was caught in time and the other wasn't 😫

The chain on the Citroen was replaced for maintenance reasons ✅️ whereas the chain on the Peugeot had snapped resulting in completely bending its valves therefore a costly engine rebuild ❌️

Unsure if your timing chain or timing belt needs replacing then get in touch and C.A.R.S can advise on the recommended replacement procedures 🚘

Lovely example of a Mercedes Benz S500 L in this week for a coolant leak and service 🔧

Coolant leak to be a cracked coolant pipe gone very brittle behind the scuttle panel. Ordered a genuine a replacement from Mercedes Benz and got it replaced.

Whilst carrying out the visual health check a wheel was cracked in 2 places 😩 and so the customer was informed

Service was completed, carried out a road test and the vehicle was back for the road again 👍

There's never an ideal situation for the loss of brakes on a car 💥🚗

This 6 series came into the garage with no brakes, one of the rear brake pipes had burst due to heavily corroded brake pipes 😬

Removed the old pipes, remade new ones, bled the complete system and was good for the road once again 🚘

Not all air conditioning systems just need regassing 🙄

This Mercedes Vito had a major leak from the evaporator causing the air conditioning not to work therefore leaving the customer 🥵

After removing the dashboard and heater box, replacing the evaporator and reassembling the vehicle and finally regassing the system. It was then back to being ice cold 🥶
