The March rush is Coming. Any car Registered 1st of March should if MoT's kept up to date be due for MoT again on the 1st But can now be Tested and get 3 weeks extra on thier MoT.

March is on it way and with it new car registrations. Any car registered March 2012 is now due an MoT. This being the case thousands more cars require test putting extra pressure on testing stations to fit them in. Why wait to the last day. You may not even be able to fit yours in. I have seen the signs, but can't work out how it's done. MOT FOR £15. These are adverts usually by people from outside the local area bringing down the value of the test. An MoT usually takes around 45 mins so work this out Most Dealers charge labour at around £100/hour 45 mins = £75. Or 6.8 mins to test at full labour rate. Specialist around £60/ hour 45 mins = £45. Or 15 mins at full labour rate. Both these examples suggest heavily discounted test or a quick test.

With only nine working days till the new registrations come out bookings are really coming in. There is little wonder when at £35 I am the cheapest for MoT test, I have no reason to fail a car other than the condition of the car itself as I am not in it for the spin off repairs. A failed car means I have to retest it and as these I do free my money is made only from the initial test. I book test's an hour apart to allow for bulbs and wiper repairs which are FREE of Labour charge, this means you are more likely to leave with a pass.
National average suggest 66% of cars pass. Of those that fail, 32% fail on Bulbs and 5% fail on the drivers view of the road ( mostly wiper blades or washers empty ).
ALL IN ALL PROBABLY THE FAIREST AND BEST VALUE MOT IN LOUGHBOROUGH.
