We're committed to being open about driving test waiting times, including the progress we're making and the challenges we face.
In September:
📉 The national average waiting time was 19.7 weeks, the lowest it’s been since November 2024
📅 The number of driving examiners remained at its highest since 2017
📈 We conducted 191,682 tests, the highest for any September on record
✅ The pass rate remained above 50% for the 10th consecutive month
While these are encouraging signs, we know there’s more to be done. Waiting times vary across the country and, in some areas, they remain much higher than the national average.
We won’t stop until every learner can get a test slot when they need one. 💪
