Clapham North MOT - Est 1960 Since 1960, Clapham North has been offering comprehensive MOT testing and servicing facilities for most types of vehicle including motorcycles.

We have brought together a unique team of experienced professional technicians. Clapham North was established in 1960 by the truly original Ronnie Grant. Clapham North was not only at the heart of Ronnie's London Cab business but also the head quarters of his own racing team where he brought together two of most famous motorsport personalities; John Barnard and Patrick Head. Ronnie started racing

in 1966 and in 1970 he won the final round of the Formula Vee British Championship. With Patrick Head developing and testing the engines at Clapham North and John Barnard refining and modifying the chassis of Ronnies' Lola racing car

What a moment.

Amidst the buzz of the Damon Hill Halow Karting Challenge—and as part of our Clapham North customer charity celebration and 65th anniversary—we were honoured to be joined by motorsport legend Dick Bennetts, founder of West Surrey Racing.

I first met Dick during the golden era of Formula 3, when he was running the iconic Ayrton Senna. His contribution to the sport is nothing short of historic, having shaped the careers of some of the greatest drivers of all time.

Despite this being a midweek event—and with Thruxton calling—Dick still took time out of his packed schedule to come and show his support. That says everything about the man.

We swapped stories, reflected on how racing has evolved, and shared a few laughs about the early days. Motorsport may have changed, but the camaraderie and shared passion remain as strong as ever.

Thank you, Dick—it meant the world to see you again.

Massive thanks to Clapham North team—you absolutely made it. Your energy, humour, and sheer enthusiasm turned this into something really special, not just for us, but for Damon Hill and the Halow Project too.

To come away with second place overall after a full-on 2.5-hour endurance race was the cherry on top—but the real win was the atmosphere, the teamwork, and the sense of purpose behind it all.

Couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together—on and off the track.

George Grant Kicks Off 2025 in Style at Silverstone!

A strong start to the Clapham North Mazda MX-5 SuperCup season saw George Grant clinch three P2 finishes in the Masters class, plus two top-six results overall. Teammate Will Blackwell-Chambers dominated with a hat-trick of wins, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead!

2025 also marks Clapham North MOT’s 65th anniversary, and to celebrate, we’re backing Halo Charity and Driven Minds—two incredible causes supporting young people and mental well-being in motorsport.

Next stop: Brands Hatch, 29-30 March for Equipe Classic. Let’s keep the momentum going!
