Just an update on the TCS 2026 London Marathon I completed yesterday
So yesterday was tough on my body
After the cancer I always have to plan my food & toilet so the training gels have been problematic during the training
I started taking Imodium on Friday through to Sunday morning hoping I would be okay
Race start was good and started on the gels after 40 mins, then another 40 mins and carried on with the gels every 40 mins, at about 15 miles my stomach started being really sore and then I need to go the loo, I found a loo and queued up and ended up in 15 minutes or so contemplating my life choices at this time sitting in a port-a-loo on The Isle of Dogs 😂😂😂
When I came out my stomach was really sore and I was feeling pretty deflated at this point, I rejoined the race and then meet a guy about 30 who was struggling, so I asked him how he was and he said he was hot, he explained he had had a stroke 6 years and I said I would run with him so we could both get to the end, so that’s what I did
Crossing the line was very emotional
Thanks to Transporter Drivers who have seen me at work in the last 9 months or so who have offered kind words of encouragement and made donations to my charity I ran for Jigsaw4u
I'm running in the London Marathon in 2026 for Jigsaw4u - an independent and medium-sized charity in SW London that helps children, young people, vulnerable adults and families experiencing complex so
