Sometimes you meet a new customer who sticks in your mind when she shows you how the damage to her Street Triple occurred. Potential stunt rider Olga testing out the grippiness of front tyres and the stopping ability of non abs brakes. Both rider and bike repaired and back on the road. Ouch.

Well that last post kicked up a bit of a discussion. Normally we get about 10 likes and a picture of a cats ar$e in reply, not comments in the hundreds. Well here's another one, and it may seem a bit like Honda bashing, but whereas with some marques you expect grief, normally you'd get plain sailing with a Japanese bike...

So you spend a fiver figure sum on your brand new CB1000 Hornet and now you've got some oily rag pulling the engine out and dependant on the state of your oil, either rebuilding it with new pistons or replacing the whole engine.

Would you be happy with that? Especially if your bike's only done low mileage. Luckily the owner of this one saw the potential grief before the recall letter came, and had part exchanged it for a Suzuki by the time the letter dropped through his letterbox.

We do hope that Honda have learnt from their mistakes.

Now don't get me wrong, we love Hondas and in general they tend to be our bike of choice, but what is going on with their design department recently? Here we have the latest offering from the big H. Obviously it's just my opinion, and everyone is entitled to my opinion, but it's hardly a looker is it? Less of a bike you park up and glance back at as you walk away, more of a leave your lid on with the dark visor down as you walk away so that no-one recognises you. A bit like a pair of crocs, they may be comfortable but a bit embarrassing.

SOLD......Nice clean example of Suzuki GSF650 Bandit 2008. Just been in for an annual service and a once over before the customer sells it. Proper tidy bike with 28k on the clock. Only selling as he has a hankering for a Bonnie. Asking £1840 which sounds like a weird number but it's not ours and we don't set any prices. If you are interested, let us know and we can put you in direct touch with the customer.

When you're the Minister for Roads and Infrastructure at the Road Racing Capital of the World and never experienced a lap of the island on a motorcycle, what do you do? Hitch a pillion ride for 37 and three quarter miles of joy.
