đ¨ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR DIESEL VEHICLE OWNERS đ¨
The UK Government is consulting on tougher rules designed to ensure vehicles continue meeting the emissions standards they were built to achieve.
The proposals would cover the complete emissions-control system, including:
â
Diesel particulate filters (DPFs)
â
EGR systems
â
AdBlue and SCR systems
â
Catalytic converters
â
Sensors and engine-management software
DPF removal, AdBlue deletion and other emissions-system tampering are already illegal. The proposed changes would strengthen the law further by placing greater responsibility on vehicle owners and businesses to keep these systems properly maintained and operational throughout the vehicleâs life.
Breaches could potentially result in substantial finesâbut it is important to understand that these changes are currently proposals, not new laws already in force.
For diesel owners, the message is simple: warning lights, failed regenerations and DPF problems should be professionally diagnosed and repairedânot deleted or bypassed.
At Carbon Doctor Ltd, we provide professional mobile DPF diagnostics and chemical cleaning, helping restore the original system rather than removing or disabling it.
