The 2022 RM Sotheby's London to Brighton Veteran Car Run takes place on Sunday 6 November. The annual November event attracts entrants from all over the globe and for the owners of these highly valuable veteran cars it represents a rare opportunity to take their extraordinary automobiles on the historic 60-mile run from Hyde Park in central London to the seafront on the Sussex resort of Brighton.

One of the most significant early motor cars in existence returns to British roads on 1 November, when the world’s oldest-known surviving Rolls-Royce takes part in the Veteran Car Run for the first time in many decades. Chassis 20154 has recently emerged from a painstaking three-year restoration which returned the car to its original specification, body configuration and primrose yellow colour. Ahead of the Run, the 1904 Rolls-Royce will make its first public appearance back on home soil at the St James’s Motoring Spectacle on Pall Mall on 31 October. https://tinyurl.com/1904-Rolls-Royce

The 130th anniversary of Daimler will be celebrated at the St James’s Motoring Spectacle on Saturday, 31 October. Daimler was the first British car builder to achieve significant volume production and one of its earliest models, an 1897 Phaeton, will be displayed at the hugely popular, free to attend event. We were delighted to see this glorious selection of veteran vehicles being showcased in the outstanding setting of the Royal Museums Gardens (Giardini dei Musei Reali) in Turin, Italy, as part of the Salone Auto Torino 2026, which runs from today to Sunday. Our thanks to Adone Balasso for the images. Adone will be taking part in this year’s Veteran Car Run in his 1904 Oldsmobile which is currently looking very splendid on display in Turin!
