So this August I was lucky enough to be invited to be a member of the Playa Bike Repair Camp at Burning Man 2019. I made so many amazing friends and met so many interesting people. If you don't know about Burning Man I would encourage you to look into its origins, ethos and the event. I have wanted to go for many years after repairing a bike that had just come back from there covered in a strange powdery dust with a knackered bottom bracket.... but having worked every Summer in Lock 7 I never got the chance. This year with the shop having closed I did.

I wanted to share some photos for you bike lovers.... the bike on the crane is called Arial. The Playa Bike Repair Mascot as it were. She lights up blue and red rotating as a beacon in the dark. Without it I think I might still be lost out there....

FOR SALE: Handbuilt single speed 53cm steel frame Diamant New Old Stock, copper and steel theme. Lovely to ride. A mix of vintage bars and seat post with all other parts being new. It has been on display in the shop so some scuffs on copper foil mudguards. New Brooks saddle and copper lights, Knog copper bell.

FOR SALE:
Carlton Super Super light 52cm (CtoC) frame serial D6175. 1950's. I am trying to find out more info on this but I got it a few years ago from the Eroica UK 2016 and was told it is a rare frame they called it super super light. The original chrome work was really pitted so it was stripped and lacquered. It is v. light. Nice geometry and rake on the forks and it will build up into a great ride.
