Of some interest to one of two of my friend around the weld….
In 1988 we were living in Dallas Texas, I was working on old Ferrari/Porsche etc.
A young 20 year old kid was given a Ferrari 512 BBi Boxer which was was actually quite a lot of car for a small boy.
He was taking his date for a spin around White Rock Lake one night when he lost control….. taking out 23 little 12” posts around the lake road it eventually came to a halt and burst in to flames and killed the pair of them …obviously the car was buggered, including the engine melting into a mass of molten aluminium.
All that was left was the buggered front clip …I have the bonnet badge in my “black museum” if you can still say that….

I’m guessing very very very very few of my friend from all around the weld are interested in these pictures of Bobs shop in Dallas Texas, we lived in Dallas for two years (1988 to 1990) I worked closely with Bob and also just down the road was Lanzante’s brother Gino (RIP)

I’ve had millions of requests from all my friend around the weld to post some old photos of AC Cobra’s,that’s old fat boy with my hands on my hips standing next to the Nordquist car… I made the st/st shin protectors that now look really tacky🤮
The old unseen F1 pictures sadly rotting on the cave wall are by a mate of Ron Den
The two Pecan pies which Mozza made today are from an old Kentucky recipe that she picked up when we lived in the US…they are heavily laced with the finest bourbon and hopefully our guests over the weekend will all suffer from a dreadful nut allergy - then I shall have them all to myself.

These were the arches we settled on when I first made the body for the car that Bell *nd sport classic are selling… it had wide wheels.We then spoke to the boys at Modena and they sent us the original factory papers for the Le Mans car!! the balloon arches looked awful so I made them with a twist/ homage to the Comp car.

The NOB number plate and the buggered Ferrari badges were ALL that I could save from the body …. He end over end over end over ended it and it is landed in the car park at Oulton Park I think…

I don’t believe it…. This is for sale with Bell rnd Sport classics, I made this Lwt Ferrari Dino race car some years ago for a jolly nice (racer) chap …,he sent the wreck to me and said “what do you think Carl ?”
I said well it’s fu**ed fu**ed Ray!

This is about the only thing I have ever made that I had wished the customer wouldn’t pay for … sadly my German customer did ! Where is it now?
It was at a German motor show and unbelievably the wire former I made to rough it out.
