This classic MG came to us with a tired old radio and tiny 4” speakers in the doors… so we completely re-engineered the audio system while keeping the retro soul alive 🎶

The heart of the build is the new Pioneer SXT-C10PS retro head unit, perfectly matching the character of the car while bringing modern sound quality and functionality.

Front doors were modified and enlarged to fit Focal Access 130AS components, mounted on custom-designed adapters angled directly toward the listeners for proper sound staging.
We also designed and 3D printed dedicated tweeter mounts to keep everything looking clean and period-correct.

In the rear, we installed Morel Maximo Ultra 602 Coax MKII speakers along with a custom-built retro styled enclosure that hides the speaker magnets while also acting as a resonance chamber for improved sound quality.

For low-end support, a Pioneer TS-WX140DA active subwoofer was mounted securely in the passenger footwell using rivnuts to eliminate unwanted vibration and movement.

The car was also upgraded with a Thinkware Q850 dash cam for driving and parking surveillance, alongside CAT 5 Tracker and Deadlock security for added protection.

VW Crafter in for a full technology, security & audio upgrade 🔥

The factory head unit had become unreliable, and replacing it with another OEM system from VW simply didn’t make sense. Instead, we upgraded the van with the incredible Alpine Halo iLX-F115D 11” multimedia system, paired with a dedicated VW interface to retain full access to all original vehicle settings and functions previously controlled by the factory unit.

The result? A huge improvement in usability, performance and everyday driving comfort with all the modern features you actually want in 2026.

To match the new system, we upgraded the audio with a set of Morel Maximo Ultra 602 HE components, delivering clean detail and powerful sound throughout the cabin. Low-end support comes from a hidden Alpine PWE-S8 active subwoofer discreetly installed under the passenger seat for a factory-style finish with a serious upgrade in sound quality.

Security was equally important on this build. The Crafter is now protected by our flagship alarm & immobiliser system integrated with a monitored GPS tracking control centre. If the alarm is triggered, the owner receives a direct call from the monitoring operator immediately. In today’s world, fast response and active monitoring can make all the difference when it comes to preventing theft or vehicle robbery.

We also secured the cargo area with additional hook locks, reinforced protective shielding for the door mechanisms, plus anti-theft protection for both the catalytic converter and the spare wheel.

Crazy times we live in… when vans now need this level of protection just to stay where you parked them. But unfortunately, this is the reality today, especially for working vehicles carrying valuable tools and equipment.

To complete the setup, we also installed a Thinkware Q850 witness camera system for extra protection and peace of mind on the road.

Being here at MasterTech Expo has been amazing.

What stands out the most is the atmosphere. It really feels like a big family. Installers, manufacturers and people from all over the industry coming together, sharing ideas, helping each other and just enjoying what we all do.

The level of skill and creativity here is incredible. Everywhere you look there’s something inspiring.

I’m also really happy I had the chance to meet some true legends of the car audio world, and so many passionate people who clearly love what they do.

Great event, great people, great energy. Really grateful to be here.

The ultimate auntie car upgrade ❤️

A Honda Jazz often gets called an “auntie car” but this one has been completely transformed into a comfortable, safe and great sounding daily driver. Even better This was a Valentine’s gift from a husband to his wife. Honestly a pretty brilliant idea if you are still looking for inspiration 😉

Our goal was simple Deliver maximum comfort, safety and sound quality while keeping everything clean and factory looking.

At the centre of the system is the Pioneer AVH 9200 DAB head unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming and DAB radio. Modern connectivity, navigation and entertainment all in one place.

For safety we added a rear view camera and a Thinkware U3000 front and rear witness camera system powered by a dedicated iVolt BAB 90 battery. This ensures reliable recording even when the vehicle is parked.

To protect the car from theft we installed a Cobra immobiliser. The engine cannot be started unless the ADR fob is present inside the vehicle, giving true peace of mind.

Sound quality received a full upgrade

All doors were carefully sound treated to improve cabin comfort and create the ideal acoustic environment for the speakers to perform at their best.

During installation we discovered that some mounting accessories were unavailable, including the radio fascia and brackets. Not a problem for us. Out came the 3D printer, plenty of coffee ☕ and a bit of creativity. The result fits perfectly and looks factory finished.

Everything was completed to the highest professional standards using premium materials and proper tools. The result is a car that feels safer, sounds fantastic and will deliver reliability and satisfaction for years to come.

Mazda MX 5, but fully upgraded. 🔧✨
This little roadster came back to us for a proper transformation and we didn’t hold back.

We started with the heart of the cabin: a brand new Pioneer head unit with built in navigation, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, DAB, plus a clean reverse camera integration for everyday comfort.

Parking in tight spots is now stress free too, thanks to front and rear parking sensors.

For security and peace of mind, we installed a Thinkware Q1000 dash cam set (front and rear).
The rear camera was mounted on a custom bracket designed by us and 3D printed from carbon reinforced material, made to handle heat, moisture and daily use without adding unnecessary weight.

Then we went after the sound.
This MX 5 received extensive soundproofing across the body, interior panels and doors, improving driving comfort and creating the right acoustic foundation for the speakers.

Audio setup:
🔊 Morel 6 inch component speakers
⚡ Powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 4 channel amplifier
Mounted discreetly in the boot on a custom steel bracket fabricated in house

And the final touch:
A Pioneer active subwoofer, installed behind the driver’s seat using a mix of 3D printing, steel fabrication and welding, replacing the original pocket cover with our own custom grill finished in acoustic fabric.

Security wise, this car is seriously protected.
It’s running a Cobra immobiliser with “no tag no start”, which has already stopped two theft attempts.

That’s exactly why the car returned to us a few months later for the next level upgrade:

✅ Meta Trak S7 GPS tracker
Both linked together so if the alarm triggers, the tracker instantly notifies the control room and the operator calls the owner straight away.

We integrated Apple CarPlay seamlessly into the factory Mercedes display, keeping a full OEM look while adding modern functionality.
