DCC is delighted to offer for sale this exceptional and unique Mini Moke, the result of a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration completed in 2016. Finished in striking Chilli Red with a contrasting white interior, red piping, and matching red seat belts, the vehicle is beautifully presented and remains in outstanding condition.
This particular example is a Portuguese built Mini Moke originally supplied to Macau, China, where it served as a holiday rental car, a common role for Mokes in popular holiday destinations during that era. Remarkably, the car was discovered stored and locked away in a basement in Macau, untouched since 1999.
The original speedometer showed 32,615 miles before the restoration; a new speedo was fitted during the rebuild and now reads just 1,713 miles.
The Mini Moke comes complete with the original Macau number plates, full weather equipment, the original wheels, and an extensive history file, including photographs of the restoration process and paperwork documenting the work carried out. An interesting article featuring this Moke, published in Car & Classic magazine, is also included.
This is a top-tier restoration with every component either restored or replaced, making it one of the finest examples available today.
