Is it just me, or did Ferrari just accidentally build a Chinese EV? ⚡️

The internet is having an absolute MELTDOWN over the newly unveiled Ferrari Luce - Maranello’s first-ever production electric vehicle.

Instead of an aggressive, sharp-edged supercar, we got a massive, ultra-smooth, 5-meter-long luxury liftback.

Here is the breakdown on why it looks so radically different:

👉 The Jony Ive Effect: Ferrari handed the design keys to LoveFrom (the creative collective run by legendary former Apple design boss Sir Jony Ive). The result? No sharp creases, no muscular haunches, and a hyper-minimalist, continuous glass dome.

👉 The Tech-Car Silhouette: By prioritizing pure aerodynamics (it has the lowest drag coefficient in Ferrari history), it landed right in the design sandbox that premium Chinese EV brands like NIO, Zeekr, and Xiaomi have been dominating for years.

But don’t let the “bar of soap” exterior fool you. Under the skin, the specs are pure Maranello overkill:
1,035 Horsepower (Quad-motor setup)
0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds
Top speed of 310 km/h

An acoustic chassis amplification system inspired by an electric guitar to simulate engine noise. 🎸

Ferrari’s CMO admitted the design was meant to be “polarising,” and Wall Street noticed—Ferrari stock took a 6% dip immediately after the reveal. 📉

It’s easily the biggest gamble in the company’s 78-year history - but is this one step too far?

Drop your thoughts below 👇 Is this a visionary masterpiece or a massive swing-and-a-miss?

THE FERRARI F40: THE ULTIMATE MASTERPIECE!

In 1987, Ferrari stood at a crossroads. While the world chased luxury and refinement, the F40 ignored the trends. It wasn’t built for comfort—it was engineered for absolute dominance.

Personally greenlit by Enzo Ferrari for the brand’s 40th anniversary, it made history as the first production road car to shatter the 200mph barrier.

Constructed from Kevlar and carbon fibre, this was a purebred racing machine disguised for the road. No power steering. No power brakes. Just a raw, gated magnesium shifter and a ferocious 2.9L twin-turbo V8 roaring right behind your head. 🔥

The Evolution of a Legend:
📈 The Launch: Demand was so intense that buyers paid massive premiums instantly. Many original owners were offered double their money before the car was even delivered.

📉 The Holding Period: While rival icons suffered heavy depreciation, the F40 held incredibly steady, maintaining its elite status even as newer tech arrived.

🏆 The ‘Grail’ Era: Today, immaculate, Ferrari Classiche-certified examples are smashing records, with rare, delivery-mileage cars headlining global auctions.

Why does the desirability continue to skyrocket?
👑 The Enzo Legacy: The final car personally approved by Il Commendatore, marking the definitive end of an era.
⚙️ Analogue Purity: In an age of hybrid assists, the F40’s unadulterated, mechanical connection is a vanishing breed.
💎 Extreme Rarity: Only 1,311 examples were produced globally, with a mere 94 originally UK-registered.

The F40 is a high-performance asset that delivers a sensory experience unlike anything else on earth. The ceiling for this legend hasn’t been reached yet. 📈

A fantastic day here in Knokke-Heist, perfect for a drive in our amazing ‘1952 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT Series 2 Coupe!

Dressed in Dark Blue with a sleek Grey Interior, this Pininfarina masterpiece is a true automotive icon, fully restored and ready for historic rallies.

Launched in 1950, the Aurelia was the world’s first car with a V6 engine—a 2.0L, all-aluminium beauty pumping out ~75 hp with a smooth, iconic exhaust note. The Series 2 adds refined carburetion for even better performance.

Its clever transaxle (4-speed manual + rear differential) and unitary chassis (~1,100 kg) deliver near-perfect 50:50 balance. With semi-trailing-arm rear suspension and inboard drum brakes, it handles like a dream.

The B20 invented the Gran Turismo concept—sports car thrill with saloon comfort. Its Pininfarina body is both elegant and aerodynamic (~0.40 drag). This rare RHD example is eligible for epic events like the Mille Miglia, Tour Auto and Goodwood Revival. 🏁

This Aurelia has raced in the 2018 & 2020 Mille Miglia and the 2017 California Mille. Restored by a Lancia specialist, it features a rebuilt 2.0L V6, Nardi manifold, and rally-spec tires—ready for the road or show field.

Quick Specs
• Engine: 2.0L V6, ~75 hp, ~100 lb-ft
• Transmission: 4-speed manual transaxle
• Weight: ~1,100 kg
• Top Speed: ~105 mph
• 0-60 mph: ~12 sec
• Dimensions: 4.4m L, 1.56m W

In 1951, an Aurelia B20 nabbed 2nd place in the Mille Miglia, beating a Ferrari! This car is Lancia’s post-war pinnacle. 🇮🇹

Own the Dream - This rally-ready, RHD Aurelia is a collector’s gem.
