A lot of people assume that installing an EV charger means huge electricity bills.

This installation is now complete.
We recently installed two 22kW EV chargers at the Netherlands Embassy residence, with different charging rates configured for staff, visitors and diplomats.

One of the most common questions we get asked is whether to choose a tethered or untethered EV charger.
A tethered charger comes with a cable attached, while an untethered charger allows you to plug your cable in only when needed. Both options work well, but untethered chargers often create a cleaner and neater finish — especially over time.
After a few months, many tethered charger cables end up left on the floor, which can affect both appearance and cable condition. Untethered chargers help keep installations looking tidy and organised.
