This week is Action for Brain Injury Week, and we wanted to take a moment to share something close to what we do every day.

At Open Road Access, we've supported clients living with acquired brain injuries at all different stages of recovery. Sometimes that's about providing reliable, flexible transport in the early weeks after hospital or rehab discharge, when confidence is still rebuilding and routines are still finding their shape. Other times it's about longer-term support, keeping someone connected to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, work, education or the people and places that matter most to them.

Transport, often treated as an afterthought, plays a much bigger role in whether someone can fully participate in their own rehabilitation and maintain their independence.

If you're a case manager, therapist, clinician or family member supporting someone with a brain injury and transport is part of the conversation, we're always happy to talk through how we can help.
This week, we want to recognise everyone affected by brain injury, and everyone showing up for them every single day. 💜

After years of not being able to make it to Lakes… they finally did 💛

Keely and her family won our weekend giveaway but this wasn’t just a trip.

When mobility is flexible, people aren’t forced into decisions too early.

In this episode of the Open Road Access - ORA podcast, our CEO David is joined by Solomia Boretska, CEO of - a service that hires out mobility equipment.

One of the key themes in their conversation is timing.

Too often, people are required to make long-term decisions about equipment and transport before they’re ready, at a point where day-to-day life is still evolving.
