Two rooms, one outdoor unit, done in a day.
We've just finished this Mitsubishi Heavy Industries multi-split in Reading. One SCM100 outdoor unit runs both rooms:
🔹 7.1kW Diamond series in a south-facing living room with an open-plan conservatory that turns into a greenhouse by midday
🔹 5.0kW in the master bedroom
The pipework runs down the side of the house in neat black containment that matches the guttering, with gravity drainage on both rooms, so there are no pumps to hear at night. The outdoor unit sits on anti-vibration mounts to keep it quiet.
Before we hand over, every system is nitrogen pressure tested, vacuumed down to under 250 microns and commissioned in both heating and cooling. Both rooms showed an 11°C drop in cooling and over 20°C of rise in heating, so it's cool all summer and heats efficiently all winter.
