It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Alexander Smith, known to many as “Big Jock.”

Jock was a much-loved Husband, Dad, Granda, Great Granda and friend. He was a larger-than-life character with a great sense of humour.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held at St Moluag’s Parish Church, Tarland, on Wednesday the 13th of May at 1:30pm. All friends are respectfully invited.

Rest easy, Big Jock 💙

On behalf of everyone at Smiths Garage we would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
It’s been a very busy year for us and we would like to take a minute to thank our customers and suppliers for the support. We look forward to working with you all in the future.

The garage will be closed on lunchtime of the 24th and will reopen on the 5th for some much needed TLC.

All the best in 2026.

🔥 Landrover given a new lease of life 🔥

This Landrover defender was brought to us for a set of new tyres. Whilst here he also asked if we could do anything with the alloys as they were a bit worse for wear, of course yes was our reply.

A massive thanks and shout out to our friends Xtreme coatings Aberdeen for a quick turn around and great results - the pictures speak for themselves! We finished off these awesome alloys with a set of continental cross contact tyres.

The customer also then opted for our under body treatment package that will help to retain the clean original look.

No job to big or small, don’t hesitate to call us today for a quote!
