Thanks to the lads at North Wales Wheel Worx of Llandudno junction for the refurb on a set of 18”wheels, the lacquer was pealing on the diamond cut but now been restored to a better finish than when new. Very happy with the result. Highly recommended.

Big thanks to the lads at Hulse Davies body repairs for a top job and swift repair on my VW Caddy door after what I think was a seagull dropped a sea shell from high in the sky and just had to hit the side of the door, it had me scratching my head for bit wondering how the hell the damage had happened. So if you have any body repairs needed they have an exceptional service.

We had a Honda Civic in this week with a DPF fault that wouldn’t delete. Checked the pressures and it was very high and wouldn’t regen on its own. So had to carry out a on car DPF clean with the Launch additive and gun. Below are the before and after pressures. All codes deleted and the car was test driven to make sure the faults didn’t return. All was good.

We had some sad news recently that Tony Pierce a close friend and former owner of Gadlys Garage passed away at the age of 94.
Tony bought the garage from Ivor Humphries in 1961 when it had only 3 jacks and one work light but then over the years turned it into an Mot testing station and at one point in time a fuel station, he also added 3 ramps and 3 pits as the car industry grew and carried out all kinds of repairs over the years from engine re-builds to insurance body repairs. He worked the garage up to 2015 retiring at the age of 84, he was still carrying out Mot’s and servicing for the community until this time, which I have to say is truly amazing to have worked in the industry for that amount of time.
I was very fortunate to work with Tony for 3 months and really got to know him well whilst the transition of me taking over of the garage, which was a privilege, I owe so much to him and the family for their kindness and allowing me to take on the business and putting their trust in me to carry on what Tony started.
As a mark of respect for Tony we will be closed on the 27th of October as we will be attending his funeral.

Following up of my last post the Qashqai is now repaired and has had a nice new suspension arm.

Special Notice to customers.
On Monday the 29th through to possibly 31st of October the lower part of park road will be closed off for entry to the garage but access should be possible from the top of park road. I would advise customers to park in the Old bank car park and drop the keys off at the garage or alternatively park in coop. Sorry for the inconvenience

Haven’t posted in a while it’s been so busy. Just one of the jobs in this week. Oil leak on a Mini Cooper. Oil filter housing seal needed to be replaced. Not without its issues though had to remove a stubborn broken stud on the turbo 🥴
