📢 Have Your Say – The Future of Llandrinio Bridge 📢

Over the coming days, Llandrinio & Arddleen Community Council will be distributing a community survey to households and local businesses. Online version of the survey is also available.

The purpose of this survey is to gather evidence on the real impact that any closure of Llandrinio Bridge has on our community. Whether it’s longer journeys, increased travel costs, delays to work or school, reduced trade for local businesses, or difficulties accessing healthcare and emergency services, we want to hear your experiences.

They also recognise that the bridge is used by many people who don’t live in Llandrinio. If you travel through the village for work, education, healthcare, shopping, holidays, visiting family, or any other reason, your experiences matter too. An online version of the survey is available, and we encourage everyone affected by bridge closures to complete it.

The information collected will help build a strong evidence base to support funding requests for a future proof, long term solution that meets the needs of everyone who relies on this important crossing.

🍾🍷🥂 New Local Supplier 🥂🍷🍾

We recently spent a very enjoyable afternoon with twin sisters Mel and Zoe at our local vineyard just down the road at Rowton.

After learning the history and seeing first hand the care and passion that goes into every bottle …and of course sampling a glass or two….we are pleased to say that we are now stocking a selection of their wines.

There’s something really special about being able to support local producers and bring quality products straight to our shelves — and these wines certainly don’t disappoint.

The abundance of road closure signs around the village are due to the resurfacing works being carried out in Alberbury. The road just past Pecknall lane will be closed between 9:30am -4pm Monday to Friday from 29th June until 7th July.

Llandrinio bridge is open as usual.

‼️ PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLOSURE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 10TH JULY 2026 ‼️

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE ⚠️
Due to resurfacing work, B4393 Alberbury Road will be closed from 29th June to 7th July, between 9:30am and 4:00pm on weekdays.

During this time, we cannot serve Alberbury. The Service 74 bus will continue through Coedway as usual, then go up Pecknall Lane to Halfway House and turn towards Ford. On the return journey, it will follow the same route in reverse.
