After the rain, breakfast in bed! 🦢 While they still look very grey their wings are quite white, the parents have been showing them how to fly, the cygnets do a lot of flapping but nothing much happens!!

The timings of seasons change, year on year but I was quite surprised to compare today and this day last year. I thought that, after such a dry summer, the leaves would have changed more swiftly, perhaps we'd had colder nights a year ago. And as for blackberries, this is THE year!! 2026 first! 🍂 🌳🍁 💚

Such a happy, jolly scene this evening! Tipping with rain but that doesn’t stop a Fforest Fielder. Children dancing and cycling round and round, card games, story telling and catching up with best friends. Milkshakes, ice creams, cakes, the odd grown-up hot chocolate 😉 washing down a delicious Tandoori G
