Hi Everyone,
John has just been to the Farmyard Rally over the weekend and he took one of our Zontes 368G Adventure scooters.
He's put a little review together of his thoughts. . .
Zontes ZT368-G Adventure Scooter – Weekend Rally Test Ride Review
270 Miles of Comfort, Practicality and Surprising Capability
Covering approximately 270 miles over a mixture of motorways, A roads and twisting B roads. By the end of the weekend, I came away genuinely impressed with just how capable this scooter is as a lightweight touring machine.
One of the first things that stood out was the sheer practicality of the 368. For the rally weekend I packed everything I needed, including camping gear, clothing and essentials, and the scooter swallowed it all with ease.
The combination of under-seat storage, top box and luggage capacity meant I was fully loaded for a weekend away with room to spare. That's something many motorcycles struggle to achieve without expensive luggage systems.
Comfort was excellent throughout. Even after spending long periods in the saddle, I never felt tired or cramped. The riding position is natural and relaxed, making the 368 a machine you could happily spend an entire day riding.
Whether cruising along the motorway or taking the scenic route through country lanes, the scooter remained comfortable and easy to live with.
One of the most impressive aspects of the 368 was the engine refinement. The engine is incredibly smooth, delivering power progressively and without fuss.
What really surprised me was the lack of vibration through the mirrors. Even at higher speeds, the mirrors remained crystal clear with virtually no vibration, giving a great view of what was happening behind me at all times. It's a small detail that makes a big difference on longer journeys.
Adventure scooters often involve compromise, but the 368-feels remarkably well balanced. It handled everything I threw at it over the weekend.
Fast A roads, winding B roads and motorway cruising were not a problem at all. The scooter feels planted and confidence inspiring, while remaining agile enough to enjoy the tighter roads.
For a machine designed with practicality in mind, it genuinely handles very well.
Technology That Actually Works
The built-in technology proved equally impressive.
I used Zontes Maps via my phone throughout the trip and experienced no issues whatsoever. Navigation was straightforward and reliable, allowing me to focus on the ride rather than worrying about directions.
I also made full use of the various charging points available on the scooter. Being able to keep devices charged throughout the journey proved extremely useful and is another example of how well thought out the 368 is for touring and everyday use.
After approximately 270 miles of mixed riding, the 368 returned an impressive 78 mpg.
That level of fuel economy, combined with the scooter's comfort and carrying capacity, makes it a genuinely affordable option for touring, commuting or simply getting out and exploring.
A great machine can make a good weekend even better, and the 368 certainly played its part. From arriving fully loaded, to exploring local roads and enjoying the rally atmosphere, it never missed a beat.
